The British boxer prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-round contest which will be streamed in real-time on Netflix.
British boxer Joshua declared he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "defeat" the American as the two fighters met personally to promote the upcoming bout.
Former two-time world boxing king Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami venue on December 19th.
Boxer's Attitude
"I will damage his features and break his body up. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35, said.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I intend to genuinely try to hurt him. That's my intention."
Civil Exchange
Despite these statements, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - typically known for his theatrics - shared friendly words and remained civil with each other.
Paul rather criticized former Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and called him "ridiculous" after Ngannou declined a match opportunity.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, targeted UK rival Fury - and refused a large bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a victory for Paul.
"Jake Paul is better than Tyson Fury - he showed up," Joshua commented.
"I respect him for that."
Legitimate Fighter
In spite of stating he plans to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to talk badly about his rival's fighting skills.
"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he remarked.
Jake Paul's History
Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mostly fought MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.
He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.
Financial Attraction
Still, the novice continues to be one of the sport's biggest commercial attractions, consistently making substantial earnings.
Forecast and Belief
The 28-year-old forecast a stoppage in round four or five and asserted he would prevent the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly under discussion for 2026.
"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Paul declared.
Physical Difference
As Joshua and Paul met for the traditional stare-down, with their height and weight contrast on show, it emphasized just how unlikely this complete situation is - and how astonishing it is that the bout is truly going ahead.
